I like how all of the websites I use are changing formats again, all at the same time, and all away from what everyone is used to.

I had this idea the other day, I thought it would be interesting to build an airplane that was purely mechanical, no electrical components anywhere. With modern metallurgy and steam and diesel engines potentially light enough to build a plane around it suddenly becomes very possible to do this. Just think of it, no mags, no alts, no radios, no warning lights, pressure lamps for external lights, pitot/static and pure vacuum instruments. I mean it would be almost purely a recreational and probably light/sport plane but think of it, just you and the pure machine in the air.
